You know from the start if the Photographer is the one for you. If their style of photography matches your dreams, book them as soon as possible.

 

My style is commonly known as reportage or natural, but I prefer the term “photo journalist“. In other words my aim is to capture the events and emotion from the day in a manner, which tells a story.

Your day pictured around you

I like to arrive in plenty of time to capture all the fun & laughter at the start of the wedding day of you & your bridal party getting ready. I love to photograph you having your dress adjusted and your make up or hair being completed. It documents an important part of your day. We record a FULL DAY wedding as standard in every single wedding package

I record the service totally naturally in a more journalist fun style, and afterwards let you enjoy time with your friends and family. If you are at a church we will take a handful of formal shots of you both and some family members. This can be discussed at our pre wedding shoot which is included in every single wedding package, we don't ' clock watch ' at any part of the wedding day and leave late in the eve when we are happy we can tell your wedding day story in pictures.

A little later on at the reception venue I will take you away for your ' formal ' bride and groom shots. I use the term ' formal ' very lightly as I am always having a laugh and joke with you, as I know how hard this part can be for you both. If you look in my galleries, you will see how relaxed the couples are. This can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour depending entirely on how much you would like to do. Again, you will get lots of ideas from my gallery from traditional to contemporary to a fashion look.

The most important factor for you to consider when choosing a photographer is that you like their work and that you like them! You will spend a lot of time with the photographer so make sure that the style is right and they are the type of person you would invite as a guest. I am genuinely a friendly and outgoing person but also unobtrusive. I remember first and foremost that it is your day and will do everything in my power to make it as memorable as possible for you. A phrase we like to use is

' Observation & Reaction ' you create the moments we will capture them as memories to last forever.

I deliberately don't follow trends but ensure my look is constantly evolving. Yet again the fact that I am not part of the ' CROWD ' means not everybody buys into our approach, but I know many others LOVE what we do and come to us specifically for the images I have become known for across all the Yorkshire regions and beyond.
